GUIDE 3 OF 6

Understanding your priorities

Each priority points to one thing worth working on next, with the query or page and the numbers behind it. You decide whether to act on it.

What SEO Signals looks for

  • Low click-through rate: query and page pairs where clicks are more than 30% below what that position usually earns.
  • Pages close to page one: pages at average positions 11 to 20 for queries with real impressions.
  • Overlapping pages: queries where Google shows two or more of your pages.
  • Visits without action: landing pages with at least 500 sessions where fewer than 1 in 200 sessions records a key event.

Why “up to three”

SEO Signals shows at most three priorities so you can focus. When the data is limited, you may see fewer. It never invents a recommendation to fill the space.

Reading the evidence

Open a priority to see the query, the page and the numbers, such as impressions, clicks, CTR and average position. Treat each priority as a reason to review, not proof of the cause. For example, two pages appearing for one query can be fine if they serve different needs.

Which site needs you first

If you connect several sites, the overview orders them by which one needs attention first. The order reflects crawl errors, pages that rarely convert, queries with few clicks and drops in search clicks.
